How to make 12v powerful soldering iron easy at home

in this project we learn how to make 12v powerful soldering iron easy at home. you can get 1000 degree temperature from this soldering iron.

12v powerful soldering iron

its use for heavy soldering even you can sold brass very easily. for making this project we need some components.

Components:

• Glow plug (you can get it form any vehicles spare part shop)
• Old Soldering iron back cover.
• Push Button
• LED
• 1 K Resistor
• Wire
• 12v power supply (we can use old computer power supply)

in this project we use Glow plug. its very powerful 12v heating device. its use to aid start diesel engine. but here we use it as a soldering iron. best advantage of this glowing is its get little power and provide very high temperature round about 1000 degree Celsius.

• Connect one side of push button with Positive (+) power supply.
• Now connect 2nd side of push button with one side of Glow plug
• Connect Negative side of power supply with 2nd side of Glow plug.
• Now connect 1k resistor with positive side of LED.
• Connect 2nd side of resistor with Positive power supply.
• Now connect Negative side of LED with Negative power supply.

Power Supply for Glow plug:

Glowing plug work on 12v power. but heating depend on current. if you provide low current then its heat-up very low and slow. if you provide high current then its heating very high and fast.

normally for soldering iron 2 ampere to 4 ampere current is enough for this. but if you sold Brass then you need 12v, 10 ampere. because brass melt in 450 degree Celsius. ( how to make 12v power supply easy at home )

Basic purpose of this project:

Basic purpose of this project is control electricity. its best for energy saving soldering iron. you can use this soldering iron with bike battery. so you don't need electricity. you can done your work using bike battery power.
